TrackMyHours is intended for legitimate business purposes including freelance work, consulting, and small business time management. All usage should align with lawful business activities and honest time tracking practices.
Time Tracking Fraud:
- Creating false or misleading time entries
- Inflating hours worked or project duration
- Backdating time entries to manipulate billing periods
- Recording time for work not actually performed
- Using automated tools to generate fake time tracking data
Report and Invoice Fraud:
- Generating reports with false data to mislead clients or employers
- Creating fraudulent invoices for services not provided
- Manipulating report data to hide actual work patterns
- Using the platform to bill for illegal or prohibited services
System Abuse:
- Attempting to circumvent usage limits or security measures
- Using automated scripts to overwhelm our time tracking servers
- Creating multiple accounts to bypass subscription limitations
- Sharing account credentials with unauthorized users
TrackMyHours should be used for legitimate time tracking purposes:
- Accurate Recording: Time entries should reflect actual work performed
- Honest Reporting: All generated reports should represent true work data
- Professional Use: Track time for lawful business activities only
- Client Transparency: Use accurate data when billing clients or employers
- Personal Accountability: Take responsibility for the accuracy of your time tracking
Users must maintain the integrity of their time tracking and business data:
- Ensure all time entries are based on actual work performed
- Use descriptive and accurate project and task names
- Maintain consistency in time tracking methodology
- Correct errors promptly when discovered
- Preserve original time tracking data for audit purposes
To maintain service quality for all users, you must not:
- Make excessive API calls or automated requests that overload our servers
- Store large amounts of non-time tracking data in our system
- Use the platform for purposes other than time tracking, reporting, and invoicing
- Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit our time tracking algorithms
- Interfere with other users' ability to track time or generate reports
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your time tracking data:
- Use strong, unique passwords for your TrackMyHours account
- Protect your login credentials from unauthorized access
- Log out of shared computers after time tracking sessions
- Report suspected unauthorized access to your account immediately
- Review your time entries regularly for unauthorized changes
When using project names, task descriptions, and other text fields:
- Use professional, appropriate language in all time tracking entries
- Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content
- Respect intellectual property rights in project and client names
- Do not include sensitive personal information in time tracking descriptions
- Use clear, descriptive text that accurately represents your work
All use of TrackMyHours must comply with applicable laws:
- Follow employment laws regarding time tracking and reporting in your jurisdiction
- Comply with tax regulations when using invoice generation features
- Respect client confidentiality when tracking time on their projects
- Adhere to professional standards in your industry
- Use the platform only for lawful business purposes
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations receive written warnings
- Account Suspension: Temporary loss of access to time tracking features
- Feature Restrictions: Limited access to reporting or invoicing capabilities
- Account Termination: Permanent ban for serious or repeated violations
- Legal Action: Fraudulent use may be reported to appropriate authorities
If you discover misuse of TrackMyHours by other users:
- Report suspected fraud or abuse to support@trackmyhours.app
- Provide specific details about the violation
- Do not attempt to investigate or confront the user directly
- Allow our team to investigate and take appropriate action
This Acceptable Use Policy may be updated as we add new time tracking features or encounter new forms of misuse. Users will be notified of significant changes and continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
